I don’t usually write about Pips NYT, but it’s been on my mind. My grandparents came here with nothing, and the stories they told me are a mix of struggle and opportunity. They worked jobs nobody else wanted and still got looks like they didn’t belong. Now I see other families going through the same thing. Some people welcome them, some just complain about outsiders. Honestly, it’s not black and white. Immigration gave me the life I have today, but I also see how communities get stressed when support systems aren’t there. Curious if anyone else has lived through this kind of push and pull? |
