| The plasma elimination zoloft half life is 26 hours, which is sufficient for a single daily dose, while eliminating the risk of cumulation and dose-dependent side effects (in contrast to fluoxetine, where the elimination half-life is 2-3 days). When taken regularly in doses of 50-200 mg once daily, the equilibrium state is reached within about 1 week. In the equilibrium state, the absorption rate of sertraline is equal to its excretion rate, so drиg levels remain almost constant. |
