I'm doing a DYI air conditioning redo on a 1600-2. The mounting for the condenser and electric fan turned out good, so I thought I'd post with pictures.

The condenser is a 12" X 18" unit from Nostalgia Air. The fan is from the same firm. I wanted to maximize condenser size, but not cut anything on this car.

The battery box had to be removed to fit the condenser (along with radiator and fan/pulley, of course). As you can see in the foto, we first mounted the fan to cut-to-length steel strips (the green coated metal, left over from a greenhouse project). Very simple, straight pieces cut the length of the condenser mounting fins (about 18"). After the fan was mounted to the green metal strips, the condenser was mounted in a similar manner. The combined units were then fitted into the cowl opening, and both were fastened to the forward firewall.

Note we used spacers/stand-offs between the condenser and fan at the points of attachment to the mounting strips, to hold the fan off the condenser by about 1/4 inch. We then fastened everything to the forward firewall, using the mounting fins provided on the condenser.

Whether you have a whole-house or one-room air conditioner, please don't make it work harder than it should. So , aircon leaking can destroy ceilings, walls, and anything else around it. If you notice water under your indoor air handler, turn off the air conditioner at the breaker box and either call a professional. There are only a few causes of a leaking air conditioner, the first being a clogged air filter. When your air filter is dirty, air cannot pass through as quickly, which causes the evaporator coils to freeze up. Since refrigerant flows through your evaporator coils and requires proper airflow to absorb heat, ice will form and drip water if the airflow is restricted.

Fortunately or unfortunately, I also had such a problem, and I found a solution to it. It was a pretty exciting time looking for what I don't even know if I can find. I wasn't sure that in the locality where I live, there could be such a service. I hope I helped you with what I could, and you will already see how it will be more convenient for you.

This is an interesting question that I would be curious to ponder. If you still haven't found the answer to your question, I suggest you use the help of this company: https://www.airconservicingsingapore.com/chemical-overhaul/ I am sure that for you it can be an exorbitant help that will definitely give you an answer to all the questions that you are interested in.
This company helped me with some problems regarding my air conditioner, and it turned out to be the only way out of that situation.
