I'm here today to make a request to Nexon regarding the permanent bans which were passed out as penalties due to the block exploit that happened last December. I believe some of those bans don't fit the punishment particularly in light of recent events.
The reason I am writing this really is, someone I knew (a fantastic friend of mine) was banned in the aftermath of the December cube exploit. As I am sure you are aware, after this exploit takes place, the market is immediately bombarded with incredibly excellent items. Ordinarily, the exploited items would be relatively easy to spot, however this exploit happened during Miracle Time. As a result of this, some items were purchased without a lot of suspicion and it is clear as anyone would buy powerful items in a hurry if they were being marketed at a inexpensive price.
My buddy was not the only one who had been penalized for coming into contact with exploited items as many different players were permanently banned for acquiring exploited items. Most if not all these innocent victims would not have willingly bought these exploited items had they known of the suspicious nature, especially not in the risk of their account.
For many years, my buddy has put a great deal of time, effort, and money into this game and has consistently followed the game's Terms of Use. He wouldn't, under any circumstances, make the most of an exploit due to how passionate he is about the game. I strongly believe this applies to a vast majority of those players that were banned for only coming in touch illegitimate items. Several of these folks have tried to appeal to their bans, but Nexon has diminished them all as they believe that everybody involved (knowingly or unknowingly) are thinking about taking part in the tap.
