				|
 |
				| I have been asked whether there will be a 4 player league.
As I have now finished all my 3 player games, I thought that I might try out an idea and set up a 4 player league for faster players only.

To decide whether a player is fast, I intend to use the current 3 player league. If a player has completed 3 games in that league he/she will automatically be eligible. (3 games allows for one slow player in the division holding a faster player back).

 Those currently eligible are (32)

However as there are players who don't like 3 player Amun Re, but may like to play in the 4 player league, I will allow such (fast) players from the 5 player league to enter, if they wish to pm me.

Also, I may allow players who have not reached the 3 game target to join, if I think past speed of play merits it. These players will also need to pm me.

I am not sure how fast 'fast' is. After the initial season I will have a better idea, so I do not intend to set a deadline for season one, but if a particular player(s) is holding up proceedings they can expect to be removed from subsequent seasons.

Also after season one, a prerequisite of joining will be to have met the critereon in the 3 player league (or very special pleading).

The league will be run on a similar basis to the others, with the number in divisions, number of games, promotion/relegation depending on the number of entrants.

Season three of the 5 player league will start shortly, so take that into account before signing up.

 To sign up
 - if your name is on the above list - add your name here.
 - if you are not on the list, pm me or make your case here.

The three game target gives a good indication of who is reasonably fast. It doesn't allow for players who find themselves in a slow division, so I have given myself discretion to allow for such cases.

I am trying to filter out 'slow-pokes' rather than keep out those who will keep up with the flow. Of course, I run the risk of making myself unpopular with those who ask to join but to whom I say no.

All I can say to those I let in on a discretionary basis is 'don't let me down!'

 Dont let me down, rseulow.

				| I would like to play in a fast tournament. I think of myself as fast and can play multiple turns in an evening. I do not, however, have access to SpielbyWeb at work (#@!% internet filters) and so, you may opt to exclude me and I will understand. | |

				| Can't you just look at someone's profile to see how fast they are? Granted it doesn't tell you how fast they are recently, but a high turn average can't be falsely lowered. | |
