The majority of the problems were due to the RSPS community members creating improper deobs. Not Jagex. Cleaning somebody elses mistakes could be a pain because you never know what difficulties arose unless you understand their precise methods.Trust me, the RSPS community figured out how to 100% infusion Runescape sport package. The issues people are speaking to, I am guessing, is more to do with rsps not coding their servers. Because the customer is packed by Jagex before shipping the issues arise. They obfuscate the code all, and it makes it hard to read. Even Jagex using a deobfuscated customer, would take months to refactor the whole client to a point that developers could start adding fresh content.

I believe Squeal of Fortune was released in 2012. I'm not advocating it, however they could monetize. The only issue would be further splitting the communities, but I would gladly shell out twice the membership fee with this and that I think a lot of additional RS vets might agree.A'properly' extracted client. What does that mean? If you are in a position to extract the customer from Runescape game pack, it's been'correctly' extracted.

The code is all there, none of these have'issues' to do with the customer alone, because if that were true, those clients would have had difficulties on runescape back in the daytime too. The biggest problem with using an rsps' customer, is that it's all obfuscated, and in spite of an actual customer to reference from, it might take quite some time to refactor the entire customer to a stage that they'd be able to easily edit it again to include fresh content. If they have a 2012 backup of RS, then, it is totally possible. Will Jagex do it? It would be work for them.

Every rsps includes a slew of other issues and bugs that go unnoticed since the Runescape player base is much bigger than actual rs. What they accomplish in their games is actually impressive tho, esp since they have small teams using a tiny fraction of the tools that Jagex has.And then not one of those 2012 rsps are wholly complete. With every npc at right areas. And entire towns are empty since devs forgot it exists. They likely have a copy of the customer but wouldn't admit it since they understand the remainder of RS3 client base would favor a 2012 match than mtxscape and they would lose so much prized earnings.

It was a fantastic time for sure, once I miss it, I've gone to play some private servers. The other answer sums it up. Though, I think this comment section is filled with people who are tired and just want something different to do. And frankly it is a fairly niche group, that is why the personal servers which operate"2012scape" are fairly far down the list on popularity. The people which are actually enthusiastic about RS3 generally enjoy the present condition of Runescape game and revel in the PvM and 20 yrs worht of articles. Those that dislike EoC like OSRS's state. The group that actually would perform"2012scape" is not nearly big enough to justify the amount of work.
