Generally, and in additional to those already described, the following conditions apply to Power Cards:
- They may only be used in the indicated Phases
- They can be exchanged for Gold with the Bank at any time (1 card is worth 1 Gold)
- A player can never play 2 or more of the same Power Card in the same round.
Example: In Phase 3 (Player Actions) a player plays a 'Master Builder' card and converts 2 Building Stones into a Pyramid. He has another 'Master Builder' card, but he cannot now play it here, nor in another Province.
Example: In Phase 6 (Scoring) a player plays a 'Farmer Bonus' card. He has another 'Farmer Bonus' card in his hand. He cannot now play this, although he can play other Bonus Power Cards.
Other players must outbid this player by at least 2 spaces higher. If the player of the Power Card later bids on a different Province, this Power Card also applies to the new Province. The Power Card may be played along with your initial bid in the phase, or along with one of your re-bids.
|Outbid in the Same Province||2||2||
If the player is outbid, he/she may bid again immediately on the same Province. The Power Card may be played along with your initial bid in the phase, or along with one of your re-bids. Once played, it persists, applying to any re-bidding that you do until the phase ends.
An additional farmer is placed in the Province of the player's choice. Note that this free farmer does not occupy one of the Cultivation Spaces.
The player may exchange 2 Building Stones in one Province for a Pyramid. Note that this Power Card may be used even if the player does not buy any bricks.
|Change the Offering||4||4||
The player may choose to increase or descrease the total value of the Offering by 3 Gold.
This card is played on a specific Province, and increases the Harvest Income in the Province by 1 Gold per Farmer for that round only.
This card is played on a specific Province, which then generates an income of 8 Gold for that round only. However, the player will not receive Harvest Income or Further Income in this Province.
