I figure that I might just have an opportunity to rank within the top 100 players in summoning when I get 200m by the end of august. I can't determine what to do. Any advice?

It something that I should be able to perform, I've got all of the gear for such a fight.

Now, the problem here is that I'll hit it with Balmung, taking off a a good chunk of it is health and then it's colours activate. From there on, I can not do any harm. It'll just switch blue and even when I attempt to use water spell (water tide ) it will just wind up missing all of the time or doing no damage and the mother will en up continuously switching from blue to red and back. I can not do any damage to either of them even using water and fire magic...

Eventually it'll stop attacking me and will only stand there, leaving me trapped, unless I logout... Any help? The quest fight has been buggy as crap since the launch of EOC. Before I did the pursuit in March someone told me at the Sals cc they could finish the quest without using Balmung whatsoever. Personally, I managed to kill the Mother before it even altered colors.

The Mother was recently upgraded however. I'll check today employing the Dominion Tower. At the mean time I'd suggest home teleporting out and then striving again (you won't need to kill the sentinels again I believe). So I just did it on the Dominion Tower. Seemed ordinary to me. I struck it with the axe. I stepped back, fired water charms (I'd suggest stepping back so that you can just focus on projectile attacks) Yada yada. I did notice she had a top defense, but I was also only using a staff of light. The Balmung took a couple of strikes to hit her. So I'd just re-enter the fight area and try again.
