Hmm, could anyone work out how many turns A Game Of Thrones would take? |

Player turns for N players would be
3 players = 7*3*10 = 210
4 players = 7*4*8 = 224
5 players = 7*5*7 = 245
6 players = 7*6*6 = 252

Thanks for the great analysis! I wonder if some of the programming for Tikal could be adapted for Age of Steam? You've got hexagon tiles, that need to be rotated to fit together in a certain way, managing limited resources, and if the auction version of Tikal gets added in, each turn starts with an auction! Just a thought...
And while that player turn count does seem high, Age of Steam is normally a pretty long game anyway. That count seems comparable to Goa, Tikal with auctions, or even Bus with 5 players! |

Just to throw in another random game possibility: How do you think would Attika fare? I guess that would work pretty well. |

If you had to choose just one, would you pick Mexica or Java?

How about Civilization/Advanced Civilization by Avalon Hill, or maybe Twilight Imperium? Any of these games would be awesome additions in my opinion. |

I don't even want to begin to think how long a came of Twilight Imperium would take on SBW! |

Shooting from the hip here ...
I wonder if you could tweak the gameplay (as an option) to make the auction a blind bid? I know it would change the game, but it would cut quite a few turns from the game. |

Attika would be a great addition for SpielByWeb! If it would have been in the list of games in the poll, it would have gotten my vote.
By the way, In the Shadow of the Emporer is a possible future project on MaBi Web, while Samurai is currently in development/play-testing.
It would better to not duplicate PBW game coverage (for now at least). This way there are more games available to play online.
Just my 2 cents. Good gaming! |

Is that rhetoric, or would you actually like someone to calculate?
Of these games:
Quote: |
Acquire [2]
A Game of Thrones [4]
Age of Steam [2]
Alhambra [1]
Attika [2]
Lord of the Rings: Confrontation [1]
Mexica [1]
Mississippi Queen [1]
Oasis [1]
Puerto Rico [1]
Struggle of Empires [5]
Twilight Imperium [1]
Wildlife [1]
|
A Game of Thrones would make my highest choice, but I wonder about expansion inclusion. (It needs the first expansion to actually be a good game, imo).
I would also love to see Acquire and instead of Alhambra, I'd actually prefer Gardens of Alhambra. (It's a great four player that REALLY fits the turn base format well. There is only one action to take every turn.)
Of course, I'm new here, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. And besides, you've got La Citta in testing, so I'm already happy. |

I would choose Mexica. Javas auction (feast) make it a bit long. |
