If there is enough interest, I propose running a 3 player league.
The general principles will be:
Divisions of 6* players, each playing 5* games.
Each 'season' to last roughly 6 weeks to 2 months, but we will see how it works in practice.
Top 2 promoted, bottom 2 relegated (subject to returns from leave of absence**).
New players join the bottom division and work their way up (or not).
** One (only one) season can be missed and on return division will be one lower than on leaving. (Missing more consecutive seasons will result in starting at the bottom).
* lowest divisions will be 5/7 players to allow for non multiple of 6 players.
Divisions for first season will be decided by performance in the first round of the soon to be started 3 player tournament. (Clearly, joining that tournament does not mean you have to play in the league, and it will be possible to join the league without entering that tournament - however if you do not join the tournament you will start the league near the bottom.)
