Yes ... I had to open the post to see that it was you I was unhappy with at that time Dob (I had forgotten who it was, although that post was on my mind when I looked at this one). We have both moved on and played a lot of games against each other since with no problem.
Hopefully one or both of these who are concerned will end up good enough to see a fair number of "block him or else he will win" moves. I see a few, and even though they are annoying, they are part of gaming! |

No hard feelings Except that you just crushed me in the 3-player tournament... |

Seriously?! Huh. I never noticed. Guess I need to pay more attention! |

I, for one, teach - which means that some months, I can check in more than a dozen times a day and other months, twice a day would be doing well. My average turn time is sitting somewhere around 4.5 hours but if someone posts a "2 hr turnaround" game during one of my check-in-lots months, I'm going to consider myself to qualify.
So, if someone who looks slow joins one of your games, a quick PM along the lines of "you realise this is a fast game?" will probably get you further than "get out, you slowpoke!" |
This is very accurate. IBX, LuvHighTide and I have finished multiple 2 and 3 player games in less than a day and I'm sure neither of our stats reflect that.
I'm sure there are still players that ignore the comments line. Such is life. Smile and move on. |

I'm deeply disappointed in this thread.
I saw the title, and I hoped it would be some cool bondage porn spam.
Oh, well. |

Yup, the biggest problem I have with self-imposed restraints is when you drop the key. Have you ever tried to pick up a small padlock key with your toes?
Oh, hang on, wrong website |

Once again this old chestnut is rehashed and the situation now is as its always been: this site needs more control over joining and starting games, which could include, but is not limited to:
- The game creator being able to kick people out before the game starts;
- Games not auto-starting at all. Once the game is full the game creator manually starts it;
- Specifying a player profile of who can join eg newbies, experienced player, fast players, whatever.
This has so far been stubbornly resisted and issues such as these will keep coming up until this situation is addressed. |

And roasting the chestnut still produces the same old result ... almost everyone on the site would prefer coders spent their time coding a new game (I've been hloding my breath waiting for La Citta for so long I keep passing out) rather than make these changes! |

Would not autostarting constitute a major change?
That alone would probably solve 90% of the issues. |

The bottom line is almost no changes are being made to this site. Hacienda was the last new game - must be nearly 2 years ago. Significant Amun Re changes were announced in the forum a long time ago, but never got implemented.
For whatever reason the admin here aren't able to administrate the site much, let alone modify stuff. I'm happy to keep playing here, and if milksheikh or the others ever get enough time I'll gladly accept whatever they do. |

Isn't Santiago more recent than Hacienda? |

Don't confuse a vocal minority with an actual majority.
As for coder's time, it's clear that for wahtever reason the original/current coders of this site just don't have the time they used to. Fair enough. Life happens. Perhaps they should be spending their limited time finding additional coders. |
