I'm not familiar with these tourneys, so can I ask what the top 14 players colours represent please? And is there just one final for the top 5 players, or some variant with 3 semi's? |

Gaditus has a neat format for the second round. The top 3 players will get to play in 3 games, the next 5 will get to play 2 games each, and the next 6 will get to play 1 game each in the semi-final. (Anyone below the top 14 will of course be eliminated).
Gaditus has just colour-coded those levels. |

Ah yes, I do seem to remember reading the odd previous tourney, but I had forgotten as I've never been in one before, I've been living the Hacienda high life.
Thanks! |

Sorry about the wait - with limited internet access on my holiday, I've been able to make some moves but not update standings.

You may notice one common factor in the outstanding games - I will have a think about how to deal with this. |

Is there a prize for most 2nd place finishes?
Really - if you check your whole stats db, I bet I have more 2nd places than the next two combined. |

The common factor is of course cpsof95 who has not finished any games yet. As one game is not even at the end of round 3 and cps does not seem to be able to maintain any reasonable pace I have no real option other than to disqualify him.
I have assessed the outstanding games (the ones in round three and six, by projecting forward to the next scoring round, and the others by assessing the position after round 3 scoring) and the resultant table is:
48/48
5 3 1 0 0 1 Sacarino
5 3 0 2 0 0 flaviorj
5 3 0 1 0 1 tphon
5 3 0 0 1 1 Dobinator
5 2 3 0 0 0 efreeman
5 2 2 1 0 0 JM
5 2 1 1 0 1 rico44
5 2 1 1 0 1 domster
5 2 1 0.5 1.5 0 powermorph
5 2 1 0 2 0 Gaditus
5 2 0 2 1 0 matrix
5 2 0 2 1 0 Knave
5 2 0 2 0.5 0.5 Maccheek
5 2 0 1 1 1 kxw
5 2 0 0 1 2 danbar1963
5 1 4 0 0 0 Montu
5 1 3 1 0 0 Vinny
5 1 2 2 0 0 freduk
5 1 2 1 1 0 Payton3434
5 1 2 1 1 0 grizzlyman
5 1 2 1 0 1 Pompkin
5 1 1 1 2 0 HighwayStar
5 1 1 1 2 0 DariusvanDuyn
5 1 0 3 0 1 swok
5 1 0 1 2.5 0.5 TheMarmot
5 1 0 1 2 1 kekeweb
5 1 0 1 1 2 kwojtasz
5 0 4 0 0 1 rseulow
5 0 3 2 0 0 t_o_m9
5 0 2 1 1 1 IBX
5 0 2 1 1 1 Sgath
5 0 2 0 2 1 NoMoreCheese
5 0 2 0 1 2 Ace
5 0 1 2 1 1 Coach
5 0 1 1 1 2 Fritz
5 0 1 0.5 0.5 3 Wastl
5 0 1 0 3 1 lindalait
5 0 1 0 2 2 AdriaanPieters
5 0 0 4 1 0 daveszum
5 0 0 2 3 0 Tzar-T
5 0 0 2 2 1 pkwolf54
5 0 0 2 1 2 yahkeh
5 0 0 1 3 1 ahauwi1
5 0 0 1 2 2 shampoon
5 0 0 1 1 3 ats2630
5 0 0 0 1 4 BryJones
5 0 0 0 0 5 Wolfpack
5 2 1 0 1 1 cpsof95
No doubt I have made some incorrect assumptions - some players will have lost out and others gained - but I have tried to be consistent and fair in my assessments.
This means we can move on to the semi finals, the draw for which is:
A5 5Player Semi 01 Sacarino flaviorj Dobinator Maccheek kxw
A5 5Player Semi 02 Sacarino tphon efreeman JM Knave
A5 5Player Semi 03 flaviorj tphon rico44 domster matrix
A5 5Player Semi 04 flaviorj tphon JM rico44 domster
A5 5Player Semi 05 Sacarino Dobinator efreeman powermorph Gaditus
Password tournament.
The winners of the five games will proceed to the final.
If there are not five different winners, the highest player(s) (based on the above table*) who finish second will qualify.
* I will check on the position of the ties between players with the same record when I get time or if it looks likely to matter. |

Yes, despite repeated assurances that everything will be back to normal (or at least passable) speed soon cps continues to hold back all of his tournaments. He's managed to convince both you and I to allow him to sign up for new tournaments / leagues in the meantime, however I am considering removing him and blocking him from joining anything in the future until there's clear evidence he's already playing at an acceptable speed. |

I intend to remove him from my latest tournament (Every Loser Wins for 4) when I can get a replacement to restart his games (I am awaiting a response from someone on this), as I am sure that will move it on more quickly.
Unfortunately he is also in two of the multi challenge finals and I have reached the stage where I don't care who wins, I just want them to finish! |

Having thought about this a bit further, the tie breaker will depend on my assessment of the unfinished games. Hence, presuming that they will have progressed further by the time the semi finals have completed, I will continue to update the round one table as games finish, and use the most up to date information available should tie breakers be necessary. |

To be fair I don't think I helped the slowest game as I've had some absences. However, to have not finished any games sounds hard to excuse. _________________ Oliver |
