well, the original post was June 27th and the updated edit was July 28th, and the scoring says 2 pts (not 3) which would lead one to assume that the scoring had changed. So specifically in the game that Von Potty one and I came fourth in, we made some moves that greatly lowered my score to give him the win, thinking that a win for him would give us the win, and that game ended on July 29th, one day after your scoring post was eddited. So that would be rude it that was the case. Rolling Eyes

the comment " 2 GOALS (not 3) "
was to show the difference between singles and doubles scoring

singles is 3 - 1 - 1 - nil
doubles is 2 - 1 - 1 - nil

I hope this helps

Yeah, I made my spreadsheet of Team Australia results back in July before my first doubles game finished on July 26th and it said 2 goals back then, although I'm not sure I remembered more recently, when our other games were finishing... now I have to check those results again!

I'm just saying that would have been rude if they changed. The team Captain really should have communicated that better, whoever he is. Rolling Eyes

I checked my screen print of the doubles post from June 28th
(before any edits)
it clearly states "first Place: 2 goals (not 3)"

Lol, rofl, yes, who might your team captain be I wonder? Very Happy

P.S. nice edit, I had to read it twice, hehe, to realise it wasn't in the words! Wink

Add another win and 18 pyramids to Australia's total!

Great concept this!

Only 4 games remain to be completed, but they all have an impact on the playoffs!

Team Franconia can earn a Wildcard berth with a Win and a Tie, or a Win and a Loss if they can raise their average points per game above Moravia United's 36.8.

And Division E is still open: Albion has the inside track on the Division if they can Win one of their two unfinished games or Tie both. Lancaster needs a Win to knock Moravia United out of the playoff picture - assuming they also top Franconia.

Sadly, since only 8 of the 20 teams will advance in this event, the following teams have been eliminated:

Canadia, Buffalo, Carolina, Gloucestershire, Norway, Germany, New York, New Hampshire, WestUS and Great Lakes.

Thanks to all for playing and best of luck in our next Season (which will probably begin before the end of the year).

Rseulow - thank you for a great administration of this tournament!! Everything is perfect and will be even if our Moravia united will not clinch a playoff spot! Smile

Folks -

After my system meltdown in the Singles tourney, I'm getting a bit paranoid.

If anyone can take the time to check the scores in your own completed games (they are all posted in the second message in this thread), and can PM me if you find an error, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks again!

Hi Rseulow,

Well I kept my own Excel sheet for Australia's group in the first round, for singles & doubles, so once all the games are running and hyperlinked again, I can soon set something up to log all the results on. I'm happy to send you that every week or so once we have a few results in, then you can keep an eye on both our systems to make sure they match.... after that, any error's should be easy to spot! Smile

Besides, to run a large tourney like this, you must be brave, so you deserve any help you can get and I'm happy to oblige.

Well, it took every last game to determine the Top 8 for the Quarterfinals, but - despite a valiant effort by Fanconia - the results are in and posted officially here.

The QF games will pit teams in inverse Seeding order (1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, etc) in 6 games each using the same scoring system as Round 1.

we have a problem on quarter-final D, since duplicate is being created

Game D3 comments section was written the same as D2 (flaviorj/Duda vs Gaditus/domster; when it should be: flaviorj/mbouzada vs Gaditus/Abbadon) this way Doomster joined that game along with Gaditus while the correct should be Gaditus/Abbadon.
