The 8 point penalty was about right I think. |
Hard to say on that. I one game a steal cause the entire game to take a totally different course. While punishing the stealer -8 might be enough, it can change the game enough to give other players a clear advantage. I would almost submit that you need to start the game over, with the -8 pt minus. |

Why can't the admins just create a variant which disables the steal button. Is it really too hard to do? |

I don't know, it's pretty darn funny when somebody steals, even when it's me.
I'd be in favor of a bigger penalty, I think. I was in a couple games where the stealing of others cost me a pile of points. |

But that's the great thing about it!
The very slight risk that one player won't follow the rule creates just enough uncertainty to ensure that you can't completely control your own destiny. |

I don't think you can really control your destiny in any multiplayer games. |

And the winner is cpsof95.
scores
cpsof95 41
Kanga 37
rseulow 34
kwojtasz 32
docaction 32
And there was no stealing!
Well played and grats to cpsof95. I think the only game in the tournament he did not win was down to an unexpected steal in that game that worked to his disadvantage - a worthy winner! |

Thanks, it's an interesting variant, although the luck factor is higher as the sacrifice levels often are around 12-13, where small changes may easily decide games. |
