What's the policy of SBW in showing hidden information which could be tracked with some effort?
For example, in Amun-Re the amount of Gold is hidden in the board game version, but since it could be tracked, it's shown to give no extra advantage to all those no-life players such as me.
On the other hand, in Reef Encounter, for example, the polyp tiles and larva cubes behind the screen could be tracked, but for some reason, they're not shown? Hurray for me!
And finally, we have games with partial information like Hacienda. The land and animal cards which were taken from the face-up draw are known, but initial cards and randomly taken cards are unknown to other players. To reflect the real information, my animal cards could be shown to other players as 1 cow, 3 pigs, 2 hidden, for example. |
