This is for players who wish to play in a tournament, but want or have to take their time.

The format will be similar to the usual tournaments.

What's "leisurely"?

I get to play most days, quite often 2 or more moves (depending on how I fit with other people's ability to play), but there will almost certainly be one or two days a week where I don't get to play at all.

I'm not trying to be disingenious - but genuine question, what's the expectation for the "non-leisurely" tournaments?

Not an easy question to answer Smile

It is difficult to say how many moves a game takes as there are a number of places where there can be a variable turns (eg auctions, change the offering, taking rewards). But on average there might be about 100 moves in a 3 player game, say 34 each.

At two moves a day, allowing for other players and the odd day off you should complete within a month. That seems OK to me for non leisurely games.

The reason for mentioning it was that in the current 3 player tourney, two groups of 9 finished in 23 days, but have to wait for the third group of 9 which is now up to 47 days and still going.

On the assumptions that:

1) it's OK to sign up for both leisurely and quick
2) it's OK to be quick in leisurely as long as you don't care if others are leisurely

I'd like to sign up for this one too. If either assumption is false, then kick me out of whichever one you like.

I really meant this to be for slower players who wished to be involved in a tournament but felt that they should not join a normal one because they could not/did not want to play reasonably quickly.

However, I see no reason why anyone shouldn't join here.

If, when I come to start the tournament, the numbers are such that it would be better to leave some out, I will give priority to those who only join this one.

I'd like to play as well. This would be my first tournament so 'leisurely' seems like a good one to start with.
