Game 13709: I feel like Chile tonight
Something went wrong with the canal.
5 escudos were bid on spot 5 yet it goes to a bid of 1 on spot 7
Is this a bug or am I making a mistake with the rules? |

The canal overseer can choose any of the bribed spots no matter the amount, or pick their own new spot paying 1 more than the highest bribe.

- Starting with player left of Canal Overseer proposes new canal by bribing Canal Overseer.
- Bribe amounts can be the same (minimum $1) or may pass.
- Players may support another's proposal by adding to existing bribe.
- Canal Overseer must pay $1 more than highest bribe to place canal anywhere.
- If all players pass and Canal Overseer doesn't pay $1 no canal is placed.
Ok I guess your right....I'll add this

Also I had good feedback and gonna change this too in the setup phase
3 and 4 player 11 blue canals, 4 piles of 11 tiles, 11 rounds of play
- 1 random plantation tile place back in box
5 player 9 blue canals, 5 piles of 9 tiles, 9 rounds of play
change to (just bolding the changes)
3 and 4 player games: 11 blue canals, 4 piles of 11 tiles, 11 rounds of play
- 1 random plantation tile place back in box
5 player game: 9 blue canals, 5 piles of 9 tiles, 9 rounds of play
Also added this in the Setup phase
- Place blue spring on an intersection of ditches.
- Place blue spring on an intersection of ditches. Canals must flow from spring.
Also one more thing was pointed out....in the online rules
- 1 random plantation tile place back in box
change to
- 1 random plantation tile is discarded |
