If you have 0 money at the end of an offering you get +2 pts, if you have more than 5 money at the end of an offering you lose 1 pt, and if you don't offer at least 42.7% of your money in an offering you lose 2 pts, but you also get to change the offering by 6. |

The change the offering bit wouldn't work!
And I'm in ... still thinking of my rule! |

Ok, I've had my oddball brain working overtime. Went through a series of thoughts: You can only build pyramids on the province you just bought, You must build at least 3 stones each turn or lose 2VP etc ... ... ...
But I have settled on: Anyone who builds more stones/pyramids than the pharoh did that turn gets 1 bonus VP for each extra stone! |

I guess we're applying the rule that the game won't start until it's Friday 13th.
Edit: The next time would already be in June. |

cps, you got a rule yet? I am waiting to see if you use the outbid in same province card in yours... before I do. |

I guess I'll go with the Outbid rule. The next question is who I am going to play with. |

Maybe the outbid for 2pts would be closer the mark?
Not that I'm all that fussed |

rules
Whenever you outbid someone in the same province (using the card), you'll get 3 extra points.
Points for pyramids count double on the side with the most pyramids/stones. No points scored for pyramids on the other side. Sets and majorities score as usual
Lose 1 point for every payout via a coin symbol. Includes 8 gold cards and camel provinces when their payout applies. Discludes harvest increase cards.
Anyone who builds more stones/pyramids than the pharoh did that turn gets 1 bonus VP for each extra stone
Anyone who purchases absolutely nothing (no cards, no farmers, no stones) during a round gets 3 bonus points. Rewards for sacrificing are NOT considered a purchase.
-=-=-=-=-
Still a bit nervous about the power of the outbid in same province cards

Hmm ... I'm nervous about the outbid too ... adds a real random element. The other rules all just change the gameplay. Then again, if you do or don't get that right scoring powercard also changes the score by 3 ... so I'm just going to join in and see what happens!

I think the rule might add an interesting twist where low bids are even more suspicious than usual. So making a low bid may encourage your opponent to bid high on that province to make your extra points more expensive, although you weren't really going to overbid him...
You are also allowed to play the Overbid card before you make your bid. So playing the card and then making a low bid may create an interesting situation. |

I normally ignore all the Amun Re tournament threads (since I'm off that game for now), but I'm really glad I opened this thread. Thanks for the laugh, and have fun! |
